Telegram Founder allowed to leave France, TON price benefits

Pavel Durov, the founder of the encrypted messaging app Telegram, has left France after receiving official approval from authorities, according to AFP on Saturday. Previously, he had faced legal accusations related to allegedly facilitating organized crime activities, sparking controversy within the community.

A source familiar with the matter told AFP: “He left France this morning.” The source confirmed that Durov's departure was legal and did not violate any judicial regulations.

Additionally, another source revealed that an investigating judge had signed an order allowing Durov to temporarily leave France for several weeks. This indicates that while the Telegram founder is not completely banned from leaving, he may still be required to return for further legal proceedings.

Following the announcement, the price of Toncoin (TON)—the cryptocurrency closely associated with Telegram—responded positively.
