Three leaders of Avalanche (AVAX) simultaneously resign.

Omer – former director of the Avalanche Foundation – officially confirmed on platform X that he, along with two other leaders, Aytunç Yildizli and Vikram Nagrani, have simultaneously resigned from the foundation’s board of directors and its subsidiaries this week.

According to the announcement, Aytunç Yildizli, who served as the Chief Executive Officer, officially ended his tenure on February 28, 2025. Since then, the board of directors of the Avalanche Foundation has been in a state of observation, seeking strategic adjustments to align with a new phase of development.

The simultaneous resignation of these three senior executives has drawn significant attention from the community regarding the future direction of the Avalanche (AVAX) ecosystem, particularly in terms of infrastructure development programs, strategic partnerships, and market expansion efforts.

Significant Contributions Before Resignation

Omer emphasized that over the past 18 months, the trio of executives played a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the Avalanche ecosystem. Some of their key achievements include:

  • Establishing the Avalanche Foundation brand and enhancing its global recognition.
  • Publishing the foundation’s first annual report, increasing financial and strategic transparency.
  • Launching incentive programs such as infraBUIDL() and infraBUIDL(AI) to support blockchain infrastructure development, particularly in AI and Web3.
  • Driving the AiFRED project, a crucial initiative integrating artificial intelligence into the Avalanche ecosystem.
  • Strengthening internal coordination, improving management and operational processes within the ecosystem.
  • Refining growth strategies, focusing on expanding into new markets and forming strategic partnerships.

The Future of Avalanche Foundation After Senior Leadership Departure

Regarding their resignation, Omer affirmed that it was a carefully considered decision. He stated:

“Aytunç Yildizli, Vikram Nagrani, and I have made significant contributions in guiding the Avalanche Foundation over the past two years. We take pride in our achievements and believe that the Avalanche ecosystem will continue to thrive in the future. We will continue to follow Avalanche’s development and wish the community new successes.”

As of now, the Avalanche Foundation has not announced any plans for leadership replacements or its next strategic moves following the departure of these key executives. However, the community is closely watching to see how the foundation will adjust its governance model to maintain growth momentum and competitiveness within the Avalanche ecosystem.
