Mt. Gox just moved over $1 billion in Bitcoin after months of silence.

 

According to data from blockchain analytics platform Arkham, at 7:12 AM today (Vietnam time), Mt. Gox executed two major Bitcoin transactions, drawing attention from the crypto community. Specifically:

  • 166.5 BTC was transferred to an internal Mt. Gox address, worth approximately $15.12 million.
  • 11,833 BTC was sent to a new address (1Mo1nW5ZM5m2tx9qMsYm2YJxGn3TeS9gR9), with an estimated value of $1.07 billion.

As of now, Mt. Gox still holds 36,085 BTC, with a total estimated value of $3.26 billion.

The last time Mt. Gox moved funds was on December 17, 2024. At that time, according to Arkham’s monitoring system, a Mt. Gox-linked address transferred $172.42 million worth of Bitcoin to a new address.
