Jupiter declares that it has never sold JUP and intends to hold the token long-term.

Meow, the founder of Jupiter, recently posted on platform X to address concerns regarding the internal usage of JUP tokens within the project. He emphasized that Jupiter has never sold JUP tokens to cover operational costs and that the team hopes they will never have to do so in the future.

Commitment to Transparency and JUP Accumulation Strategy

Meow confirmed that all team members receive their salaries and bonuses in cash rather than JUP tokens. This ensures that there is no selling pressure from the team, helping to maintain the stability and long-term value of the ecosystem.

Additionally, the Jupiter founder shared several key initiatives aimed at strengthening JUP’s long-term position, including:

  • Strong support for JUP tokens: Meow reaffirmed his personal belief in the value of JUP and his commitment to building an ecosystem centered around the token.
  • Allocating 50% of revenue to the Litterbox Trust: A significant portion of Jupiter’s revenue will be transferred to the Litterbox Trust, which will automatically accumulate JUP through a programmed mechanism, ensuring a solid reserve of tokens for long-term goals.
  • Using JUP for governance and team incentives: JUP tokens will play a crucial role in governance, team motivation, and engagement within the Jupiter development team.

Meow also reassured the community that Jupiter has sufficient funds and revenue to cover all necessary expenses without needing to sell JUP tokens. This reflects the project's financial stability and helps reinforce investor and community confidence in Jupiter’s long-term vision.
